Clock Project - MMXXI

Each part of this clock—from the initial design and construction to the hand-carved details and painted clock face—began as an idea I brought into reality. Over 30 days, with just a few basic tools—a power drill, miter saw, band saw, circular saw, and a handheld Dremel—I crafted each element by hand. Explore these images for a glimpse into dedication that went into creating this piece.

Digital Drawings

Hand-drawn digital illustrations, each created on an iPad, allow me to quickly capture ideas without the demands of paint. Many of my paintings start in this phase, where I explore concepts through physical or digital sketches. These particular pieces, however, felt complete in their digital form, preserving moments and ideas I chose not to develop further into painting. They provide insight into my creative process and showcase the distinct style that emerges at each stage of development.

Charcoal Drawings

Charcoal’s unique texture and deep contrasts create effects difficult to achieve in other mediums. This art form captures both loose and sharp images, allowing intense emotions and forms to emerge without being overly precise. Charcoal drawings offer a sense of freedom and depth, expressing spontaneity and rawness that bring each piece to life.

Other Works

Throughout my artistic journey, I’ve created works I’m proud of that didn’t make it into any portfolio book themes. Some were completed before I began curating my work into collections, while others didn’t quite align with the direction of my portfolio books. Here, you’ll find a diverse range of styles and subjects, each reflecting different stages and explorations in my creative path.
